The demand for Chinese visas has grown rapidly in recent years. To provide a better service for visa applicants, the Chinese Embassy in London and the Consulate General in Manchester, drawing on the practice of some other countries, decided to introduce a Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC) respectively in June 2008 and in July 2009. CVASC is responsible for receiving visa applications for visit to mainland China from ordinary passport holders who are UK citizens and citizens of other countries possessing UK permanent residence or work permits, collecting visa fees on behalf of the Chinese Embassy and the Consulate General and returning processed visa applications.

CVASC is operated by China Visa Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Strictly in line with relevant laws of the UK, CVASC takes every precaution to ensure the safety of the personal information and documents of the applicants.
While providing you high quality services, CVASC kindly reminds you of the following:
(1) Holders of diplomatic, service (official) passport, or applicants qualified for the Chinese diplomatic, service, courtesy visa and visa-exempt certificate, or applicants applying for the Hong Kong visa/entry permit still submit their applications directly to the Chinese Embassy or the Consulate General without changes.
(2) CVASC has no involvement in the visa assessment and decision- making process. Whether a visa is to be issued or not to be issued, and what type of visa to be issued as well as its period of validity, number of entry and duration of stay shall be decided by the Chinese Embassy or the Consulate General in the light of China's relevant laws and regulations. |
